Memorial Donations
Donations may be made to the good work of the Horizon School, 51 Old Rd., Livingston, NJ 07039.
Cerebral Palsy of North Jersey (CPNJ) is a nonprofit agency founded in 1953 to meet the needs of children with disabilities. The organization grew with the needs of local families and established its Horizon School in East Orange in 1976. Originally serving primarily students with cerebral palsy, the school’s mission expanded with its enrollment and began serving students with a wide range of disabilities. Horizon School relocated to a larger facility in Livingston in the fall of 2000. To provide a more age-appropriate educational environment, the agency opened its all new Horizon High School just one mile away in Livingston in 2005.

I worked with Joe for over 10 years. We always had a laugh about some topic. He was a down to earth guy and took care of the people who worked with him in his business. We'll miss him.

A farewell to my long time best friend, my best man and buddy. Joe and I were inseparable from the time he moved onto Bromley Place until after I married and had children. We remained good friends for all the years and I will miss him greatly. My prayers go out to Merle and his family, may Joe rest in peace and know he was loved by many.

I am uncertain if I will think of Joe every time I hear a Springsteen song, get a coffee in Denville, go to Sergio’s deli, etc., but I know it will happen. It will probably sneak up on me, kind of like hearing about Joe’s passing. Joe will be missed forever by everyone lucky enough to call him their friend. I am that lucky. Rest well and deep Joe.

The five of us: Joe , Stash, Fonze, Tommy , and John are members of the original Essex County Rat Pack. As young adults we raised a little ruckus , but did so with dignity. We became respectable citizens. Joe, I shall remember you as an easy-going, light-hearted, hard-working and well rounded individual . You retained a good nature even when faced with illness. Your devotion to family is admirable. You are loved. will be missed , and will not be forgotten. John Morlino , aka " Uncheck"

Shortly after I touched my first piece of Pyrotronics equipment the USCG sent me to Pyro School. That was in 1970 (ish) and Joe was there. Joe was always there to help. Joe was a mentor and a friend and will be missed. His knowledge and calm ability to help countless technicians lives on.
My prayers of peace and healing go to all those that he loved and that loved him.
Rest in peace
