Obituary of Doris E. Cohn
Please share a memory of Doris to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Doris Elizabeth Cohn, 86, of Denville, passed away on Friday, March 25, 2016 at Compassionate Care Hospice in Dover after a long battle with cancer.
An extremely dedicated worker, Doris retired as the Nursing Supervisor for Morristown Memorial Hospital. Prior to her good work at Morristown Hospital, she worked for Saint Clare's Hospital in Denville. She was a devout Christian. A proud member of the Cedar Lake Community, Doris would lend a hand to those in need. She was a genuinely good soul. She always put others above herself, including her animals. Doris raised show chickens and adored them. When she was no longer able to have her chickens, she put a bird feeder outside her window and left food out for the deer so she could watch them enjoy the food she had provided. Doris also loved to garden. She was very blessed to have a myriad of friends who have sustained her with materials, care, love, and support during her long term illness.
Left to keep her legacy alive is her loving brothers, Robert Cohn and his wife Gloria of Mountainside and William Cohn and his wife Rhonda of Maine; her cherished niece, Leah Suttles of Atlanta, GA; and her devoted nephews, Jayson Cohn of Maine and Nathan Cohn of St. Croix.
Memorial Visitation will be held on April 9th from 2 – 4 pm with a Service beginning at 3 pm at Norman Dean Home for Services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Doris's memory to the American Cancer Society by way of www.inmemoryof-memorial.org. Please leave a condolence for her family.
