Obituary of Lisa Di Palma Bonfiglio

Lisa di Palma Bonfiglio, 40, passed away on Saturday February 7, 2009 in Naples, Fl.

Lisa was born and raised in Denville and was a resident in Rockaway since 1992.

She was a 1987 graduate of Morris Knolls High School and received her Associate degree in Criminal Justice in 1993 at the County College of Morris. In 1990 Lisa attended the Morris County Fire and Police Academy and began her career with the Morris County Sheriff’s Office. She rose to the rank of Sheriff’s Officer Detective and retired in January 2008. She was a Certified Fire Arms Instructor for the Morris County Police Academy, a member of the Morris County Detectives Association a member of the Northern New Jersey Chapter of the “Police Unity Tour” and a member of the Italian American Police Society of New Jersey.

Lisa is survived by her father, Michael C. di Palma of Queensbury, NY, her mother Teresa R. Tarini of West Palm Beach, FL., her sister, Janine Tarini of Randolph, her brother, Christopher Tarini, of Ft. Lee, VA, her niece Jolissa “Jolie” Tarini of Las Vegas, NV, her step-father Albert Tarini of Rockaway Borough, and her beloved husband Christian Bonfiglio.

Lisa’s funeral will be conducted from the Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Avenue, Denville, NJ www.normandean.com, (please light a candle in memory of Lisa on web site), on Saturday February 14th at 8:45am for a 10:00am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Church Denville, NJ, Interment and committal services at Denville Cemetery. Relatives and friends will be received on Thursday February 12th and Friday February 13th from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Donations may be made to Susan G.
