Lisa,
I will miss you dear friend. You have been there for me for over 25 years. I will always remember the good times from skipping school to go to the beach and the Denville Pharmacy craziness. You have accomplished so much in your short life and have served as a role model for many. I missed you on my birhtday. We had talked about sharing our 40th together. Oh the plans we made! I think of you often and keep the picture from our Senior Prom on my dresser. BFF and always! There will never be another like you.
Love,
Kristin

Lisa was truly a special person. She always had an ear to listen to everyones problems or delights. She had an energy about her which is unforgetable and inspiring. I will hold her family in my prayers through this difficult time. I hope maybe it is encouraging to know just how many peoples lived she touched. I feel blessed to have known her.

Lisa came to stay at Il Poggiolo in June 2007, and became and instant friend. She then house-sat for Il Poggiolo last year when Allen and I went to visit Kyra in Peru. We had a week together afterwards, and I remember wonderful long talks over mugs of tea. I am so grateful that she was part of our lives. Although it was such a short time, it seemed as if we had known each other for ever. I will never forget the episode of the "Pope shoes"... another Lisa tale to tell. We will miss you much in the coming years. Your life was such a bright candle for us all. With much love, Sara (and Allen and Kyra)

Lisa was an amazing person who was aable to accomplish so much during her short lifetime. She is an inspiration to all of us. This poem may be applied to her:
"God saw you getting tired, and a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around you and whispered, "Come to me". With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest. With aching hearts we must accept He always takes the best."

I first met Lisa in the early 1980’s when she lived in Texas. She touched my heart then and my heart is touched now as I write my part of her eulogy. Lisa found me through the internet sometime in 2001 and we met at Hershey Park, PA where we reconnected with a shared love of CHOCOLATE. She told me her story about cancer, openly and with conviction that she would fight it with everything she had. She even came to Texas in 2002 to talk about her battle and encourage others to do what we can to find a cure for breast cancer. We stayed in touch through email and I was blessed to have her as a tour guide when I visited NYC in 2006. She was one of the most generous souls I’ve ever known. As in everything she did, I know she fought the cancer with tenacity, courage and passion until the very end. There is a hole in my heart as I say Rest In Peace, my friend. Teresa
