My Aunt Cathy was a fireball. She pierced our ears with a needle and thread and a cube of ice. She carried her son Billy to the horse races in the Catskills in a box. When we vacationed in Puerto Rico, she took a tour to the rain forest by herself because she didn't want to miss a thing. She didn't let anything hold her back. She was a joker and could take a joke. She was a pain in the butt too but that made us laugh even more at her (waiter, I need more butter!). They told us she went para sailing while on vacation right before she passed. I think she got too close to heaven and they snatched her up. She will be missed by all. Love you Aunt Cathy.
Love Angel

Aunt Cathy is my Godmother and we are alike in so many ways. We share the same name, both straight shooters whether you wanted to hear it or not, and many say I looked just like her. My aunt was always the fun aunt, the funny aunt; with her braided antennae, her silly songs about Pepsi Cola and Frank Sinatra, among many. She cracked herself up and she made us laugh all the time. As long ago as it was, I remember her piercing my ears with a needle and thread in the Brooklyn apartment and telling me it did not hurt! She was strong yet loving and I will miss her very much. I love you Aunt Cathy.
Your Niece Cathy

In Loving Memory of Grandma Cathy - GiGi
Grandma Cathy, known to us as GiGi, was a true treasure. I feel incredibly blessed to have known and loved her, cherishing the time we spent together with our entire family. GiGi had an extraordinary ability to bring joy and laughter into our lives, whether through jokes, backyard BBQs, weddings, family celebrations, or our global family adventures.
Although I only knew GiGi in the later years of her life, it was always evident how deeply she impacted and loved her family and friends. Her love was a constant, unwavering presence, and I am profoundly grateful for the time my children, Tyler and Amelia, had with her.
Thank you, GiGi, for your endless love and for instilling family values that will live on through your children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Your legacy of love and warmth will forever remain in our hearts.

My grandma, my friend,
I have been trying to put into words how much you meant to me and my entire family, and the truth is I will never be able to, so here’s my best. I was truly lucky to call you my grandma for 35 years. You were always there for me, whether it be in hard times or joyful times. You were truly someone I could depend on in every aspect of my life. Something I always knew but also took for granted because you were always there.
For all of my life, you have been my person. The one I could count on no matter what. You gave me and my family opportunities in life that I will forever cherish and be grateful for. From traveling the US with you and Grandpa on business trips to more recently taking us on many family vacations from one of your favorites, Jamaica, to Italy, France, and many others. It wasn’t just about the places we went but more so being together. That is what was always most important to you. I will forever cherish the simple moments as well. Many times just sitting on the couch watching TV and chatting in between. Most of the time it was Hallmark, and I would hear several times, “Oh, I saw this one," which didn’t surprise me being you saw all of them.
In recent weeks you told me how you had wished Grandpa had the opportunity to see my children, and I agreed. Now, a few short weeks later, I have the thought, “I am so thankful my kids got to meet and know their GiGi." You were like no other; I can only hope and pray my children have the same relationship with their grandparents as we did with you. We will miss your holiday cards to the kids, which always had a crisp $20 bill in them, which they would get so excited to call and say thank you. We will miss you saying, "kiss the kids for me." We will miss your presence at all of our family gatherings and holidays. I will miss stopping in just to say hi. Bottom line is we will miss you forever.
I am beyond thankful that we got to spend your last week with you in the Dominican Republic, where you truly had the best time; you even went parasailing with Joe and Christopher. Never once did I hear your usual complaints of heat, bugs, staff, or anything else for that matter. I find comfort in knowing you spent your last week with us and passed away at peace and fully fulfilled.
Although I feel your time was not up yet, God had other plans for you, and I know you are reunited with Grandpa, something you have longed for a long time now. I promise to cherish, honor, and always keep your memory alive for as long as I am here on earth. Thank you for being more than a grandma to me, but my confidant, my strength, my best friend, and my person. May you forever rest in the sweetest peace. Please watch over all of us. Until we meet again. I love you.
Sean, Michael, Tyler and Amelia ❤️

My deepest condolence to the Barrett and Glaab family. As we come to understand the purpose of life. It is very difficult to let go one of Gods angles, which he has called to come home. I will always cherish the memories of our time sharing a cup of tea, and talking about our childhood. Growing up in Brooklyn N.Y. and our tough parents. Both our lives were similar. We always had a good laugh. May you rest in peace as I will truly miss our talks. (Patricia Smith)

There are no words to describe someone who meant so much. Family was the center of her whole world and she spoke so highly and lovingly of her children and grandchildren. She was the best dressed, always: From her makeup, to her trendy outfits, to her nails, and of course her sparkling gold jewelry. I'll never forget how she told stories with her hands or spoke with her city accent- especially the way she said my name "Jen-i-fa". Tea time at my mom's, which really meant all cream and sugar with a drop of hot water, will always be fondly remembered as those are the moments when time slowed down for a bit and we could just catch up. It won't be the same without Aunt Cathy but I take comfort in knowing she's finally with Uncle Dave. xoxo

Gigi was a saint. She helped anyone in need and always looked after family. I will always remember dancing with her on a river boat in France, relaxing on the beach on Indian lake with the kids, and parasailing in punta cana. She will be greatly missed and cherished in my families hearts for the rest of lives. Briana, Colton, Viviana and my self love you dearly.

Our love strength and prayers are with all the Barrett and Glaab family’s and many relatives and friends during this difficult time.
We had so many great times with Cathy. Pumpkin and Apple picking, many thanksgiving dinners at Cathy and Dave’s house,
Mother’s Day at our home, Christmas and the Christmas plays we saw in New York. Beach time and a good hot dog!!
So many memories and good times we shared with Cathy what a wonderful blessing you have been to us!!! And all you have touched. Love you Bonnie&Celia

I had the pleasure of meeting Mrs. Barrett once at our office and offered to give her a ride home. During the 30-minute ride, I discovered what a fascinating, kind, sweet, and loving woman she was. She spoke with such warmth about her family, and even though she had known me for such a short time, she invited me in for tea and cookies. That small but incredibly kind gesture left a lasting impression on me. I will always remember the little things that made her so memorable. Though Mrs. Barrett is no longer with us in person, her spirit lives on through the countless lives she impacted.
