I met Mark when we both worked at the Knoll Country Club. Our jobs had us working closely together. We became friends and soon, best friends. Our close friendship continued after we both retired and we spent many days together sharing gardening chores like mowing our lawns, taking our leaves, planting flowers, going to an occasional horse race and watching his beloved Green Bay Packers and New Jersey Devils on TV. I got to know his family and came to care so much for his daughters and grandchildren. Mark was a wonderful man and a very special friend. His passing will leave a big empty space in my life but the memories will thrive. This quote from The Beatles speaks volumes: “…and in the end, the love you take, is equal to the love you make.” Rest in peace, Mark. You will be much missed.

So very sorry for your loss. Frank worked with Mark at the Knoll where he discover that we were also neighbors. From their we discovered that I had graduated from BHS with him. We’ve missed seeing him walking Sophie and know that he’s missed her over the past few months. Mark was such a nice gentle man and will surely be missed on Birchwood Lane. Frank and Carol Kovalcik.

We are deeply saddened at the passing of Mark. He was not just a neighbor to us but a good friend. We would have long talks when he would walk Sophie by our house. She knew where to stop and get a treat and even after Sophie went to live with her sister mom and I would stop in and sit with him and talk. It’s very hard to drive by the house and not see packages at the front door and stop to bring them in. We are going to miss you dear friend. You made a lasting impression on us and we will hold that close to our hearts. May you rest in peace.
