I worked with Carretta from 1975 to 1979 left for a few years and Jim hired me back. Ran team for 3 years then I was asked to work as a local driver. I left in 1990 and Jim was a good friend and mentor. I have the upmost respect for him and wish I had kept in touch with him.

I worked with Jim at Carretta from 1981 until 1987. He was a joy to be around and a constant source of support. I named my last son Loewen Henderson in honor of such an inspirational man. Sorry for your loss, but you were blessed to have such a humble man in your life.

Jim & I worked together over 10 years at Carretta Trucking . Jim ran Operations & I ran Sales and we were the perfect partners .
Jim was extremely supportive and was highly respected by both the sales & operational employees and especially by our customers . He was a true friend & definitely one of the best . Norm Seeger

Lynn, Rob, Jack, Elle and Loewen families,
Please accept our most heartfelt condolences on the loss of the patriarch of the Loewen family. So many fond memories of
all of you and Lonnee and Jim. Comings, goings, children, grandchildren, great grandhcildren. Always some kind of action on Hillcrest Drive. Jim was always ready to stop and chat ( usually about one of his kids or our kids). Lonnee and I would keep up with "Days of our Lives." So many fun, as well as crazy times, but they were the perfect description of a loving couple, parents, grandparents and friends that would do anything for anyone, especially the family they so dearly loved.
One last "cheers" to our old friend Jim, and please know we are thinking about all of you in this very difficult time.
Much love,
Debby, Rick and Rikki
