I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Rich. I had the pleasure of working with him at Buck for 5 years. He was so knowledgeable and a gifted speaker. He was always professional, polite and kind. One summer he mentioned that his kids were looking for summer jobs and he connected me to a Sarah who watched our boys one summer. Prayers to the Stover family. May you cherish his memories.

Words cannot express how deeply saddened I am to hear about Rich's passing. He will be greatly missed.
I worked with Rich at Buck for 27 years. He was a great colleague and friend. We were all very blessed to have him in our lives for so many years. He was always there with a smile and a laugh. He was happy to answer any questions that we had on a wide range of topics. He was an incredibly gifted speaker on health and compliance topics.
May your memories of him help you cope with your loss at this difficult time. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Best regards,
Barry Goldberg

Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints. --Psalm 166:15
All of us who served alongside Rich in Child Evangelism Fellowship ministry will miss him greatly. We extend our sincere condolences to Arlene and his family. Please be assured we will be praying for you during this difficult time.
We first met Rich when he attended a Teaching Children Effectively Level 1 course held at the Hawthorne Community Bible School. He hoped the course would help him in his role as a Sunday School teacher and on his frequent missionary trips.
After the course, Rich immediately became involved in local CEF ministry. He taught in Good News Club, in our summer 5-Day Club outreach in Paterson, and in VBS. He welcomed every opportunity to proclaim the Good News of Jesus to boys and girls.
Rich soon joined our teacher training team and began encouraging teens and adults, helping them develop their vision and their skills to share God's Word with children. We know he also invested his life in many younger believers and children's teachers around the world, most recently in Columbia through evangelistic campaigns with e3 Partners.
Rich loved sharing the Gospel--through balloon sculpture, Gospel illusions, Bible lessons, the Wordless Book, and the Evangecube. He wanted everyone, and especially children, to know the Savior! His presence on a ministry team was a joy and encouragement to all who served. Even during the past year, when speech was difficult following surgery, he continued to serve in any capacity he could, including sharing the message of salvation with individual children.
Rich served on the CEF of North Jersey Committee for many years and was contributing to strategy meetings for advancing the ministry until a week before he passed.
We praise God for the work He did through Rich and we rejoice that He is now with the Lord he served so well. We will miss his friendship, his wisdom, his enthusiasm, and his whole-hearted desire to serve God.

It was an honor to share some moments with Rich during his visits to Colombia. Rich was an example of service and love. He taught me to share the gospel with the little ones in a fun, simple but deep way…so profound that many found salvation and eternity. My condolences to his family and a strong hug from the distance.

Precious Stover family
Rich is and will be for Colombia, what the soft morning dew is for the grass, soft, almost imperceptible but at the same time so powerful to sustain extensions of vegetation in its path.
For those of us who had the privilege of teaming up with him as his translators, we understand the immense influence his life and ministry had on our lives, our churches, and our nation.
Over the years, God transformed Rich's vision of his ministry, and little by little he understood that it went beyond just colorful balloons, over time, we dedicated ourselves seeking out children and people of peace in the communities, children and people with a hunger for God who wanted to replicate the message of truth that he had heard and received. Rich understood that an evangelized child is a whole generation transformed and he invested his life, his love, and his resources in it.
For Rich there was never heat or cold, when he came to Colombia he invested every day of his week not only in going to evangelize but in revisiting families he had evangelized in previous campaigns.
Rich, I will remember you with immense love, with immense gratitude for letting God use you to give us the legacy that your heavenly Father gave you, this legacy did not die, it lives on in my life, our church, and in the lives of the thousands of children that you reached throughout your life.
Thank you stover family for sharing Rich with us.
Love
Diana Isabel Mora (Cali, Colombia)

Balloons!! We cannot see a balloon without thinking of “Mr. Rich”, well-known for sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with children through his balloon ministry. We have had the pleasure and honor of working as fellow volunteers with Rich for nearly a quarter of a century in various venues through Child Evangelism Fellowship, Inc. He was not only highly respected as a committee member of the North Jersey Chapter of CEF, but a gifted Bible teacher and teacher trainer to hundreds, maybe thousands, of adults and children in CEF Good News Clubs, 5-Day Clubs, and mission trips throughout the years, extending his training and ministry through multiple mission trips to South America with e3Partners. He also served at Jacksonville Chapel, sharing the love of his Lord and the message of salvation with countless children in Sunday School. We love you, Rich, we will miss you, but we know you have been welcomed into the perfect presence of our Lord Jesus with “Well done, good and faithful servant”. Our heartfelt condolences to Arlene and family. Love, Jack & Linda Parzek

One of the best things about working at Buck is that our colleagues truly become family. Rich was that family member who always had your back. He was smart, funny and kind. He was gracious with his time and his knowledge, and was a blessing to all of us. Sincere condolences to his loved ones.

Q: Describe where Richard worked and what they did
A: What can I say about Rich Stover?!?! We worked together at Buck for 11 years. I’ll remember Rich in many positive ways-with a big smile and a great sense of humor! His knowledge about health and welfare legislation was something that I admired about him. He was always willing to help!
Our hearts go out to you and your family. Although I don’t know exactly what to say, I want you to know that I am with you in thought and wish you comfort and peace as you remember Rich.
Prayers forever,
Maryrose Deering
