Tante Dodda was my aunt by blood, but she was grandma in my heart. Whenever I was with her, she made me feel like I was the only other person in the world that mattered to her. And I know there are many, many others that felt that way too. I don’t know how someone can love so many people so much. She is rare and precious and I look forward to the day when I see her again. All my love to Vivian, Arthur and the whole family.

My heart breaks for the family Oddfrid left behind. She lived a wonderful 98 years and touched so many lives. I know she will be missed by many, including me. I loved when we talked about Flekkefjord. I cannot begin to fathom what you are all going through. Please know you are in my prayers. I hope you will be comforted knowing she is with her loving Heavenly Father.

I remember my first doll carriage was generously and creatively bought and presented to me on Christmas Eve by my Taunte Dodda. She also gave me my first pair of roller skates and many other generous gifts throughout my childhood. But most of all she consistently shared her genuine affection as she greeted me at the door every time I entered her home. She always made me feel special and loved. Her Norwegian waffles were a huge hit but my favorite was how she made fresh buttered peas on Christmas Eve. Missing you lots, Taunte!
