Obituary of Catherine Seitz
Catherine Seitz (Senica) passed away suddenly after a brief illness at her home in Stanhope, NJ on December 23, 2021, at the age of 69.
She was born and raised in Newark, NJ with her sister Lena. She attended and graduated from Barringer High School. Throughout the years she lived in Hopatcong, Newton, Lake Hiawatha and in 2017 she moved in with her daughter and family in Stanhope, NJ.
Catherine worked as a computer operator at St. Clare’s Hospital in Denville for over 20 years and it is where she met her beloved husband, Gregg. Catherine loved the ocean and spending time at the Jersey shore. She also loved to play bingo and would sometimes visit Mt. Airy Casino. Every Mother’s Day her and her daughter would take a special Bingo trip to Foxwoods Casino. More than anything she loved to spend time with her two granddaughters. Nothing in this world made her happier than her girls.
She was predeceased by her mother Geraldine Senica (Ciccone), her father Louis Senica, and her beloved husband Gregg T. Seitz.
Catherine is survived by her loving daughter Kelli and her husband Scott Iacovelli of Stanhope, NJ and by her adoring granddaughters Addison Eve and Hannah Noelle Iacovelli. She is also survived by her sister Lena and her husband Gregory Deuer of West Caldwell, NJ, her nephew Louis Deuer and his children Sean and Dylan, nephew Mark Deuer and his children Ryan and Renee and niece Donna and her husband Dan January and their children Michael, Kayla and Emily. As well as many other family and friends.
Cremation services were held privately. A Memorial Visitation will be held on Monday January 3, 2021, from 4:00PM to 7:00PM
