It’s difficult to find one memory of Cathy that stands out from the many that I have. We worked together for more years than I can recall, but we were much more than just co-workers; we were friends. Our daughters slept at each other’s houses, and we spent several vacations together. The one that does come to mind is the time we rented a house down the shore. It was Cathy, me, Greg, Denise, and our friend Lisa. We had a wonderful time. I made them all get up a 5:00 a.m. to watch the sunrise. Cathy complained, but I insisted. Then we stood side by side and watched as the sun rose and lit the sky with pastel colors. She looked at me and said, “Thanks. This was worth getting up for.” Time and life separated us, and we always said we would get together soon, but life got in the way, and I will always regret not making that time. She was a wonderful person, a great co-worker, and a good friend. I will miss her.
