“I don’t like you anymore.” He would start the morning. “Say you’re sorry.” Me,” your sorry” Mr E “I am”.
I will miss eating lunch and listening to his stories, perspectives, and jokes.
I learned a lot from Mr E. He would ask a question he already knew the answer. Then the boom. “Harris, Either you know or you don’t know!” It was ok to tell him you don’t know, then he would teach you. It was ok to have the right answer but it better be 99.9%. But if you gave him the wrong answer you better be strapped in. Most would dread this. For me it was the ultimate adrenaline sport. I appreciated his no nonsense style and will miss him very much.
He is in heaven now which means he has drafting board, Bridgeport miller, Lathe, and tig welder. It’s going to be amazing to see he will build next.

Mr. "E" will always be remembered by me. He was truly a "Unique" person, who was very impressive.
One Friday evening when I was leaving the office. Ollie asked me a question. Do you know how to sew? I said "Yes", He then asked me if I could teach him? I answered "Yes! I have a machine and I can teach you". I returned to work that Monday and he was sewing on the sewing machine he picked up, He had made all these sails that weekend for his model boat. They were so nicely sewn together, he taught himself that weekend.
He will always be remembered by me. For his intelligence, perseverance, cleverness & studious habits.
My fondest memory was... after he found out I was getting married. He told me, "I will not go to the wedding unless I can drive you & David in the Rolls Royce". He came to my house all dressed up on my wedding day, with his chauffeur cap & a very cheerful smile. When leaving the church he was laughing with both of us the entire way to the reception. Ollie's RR was very impressive to ride in, but; you should of seen how well he played the role as a chauffeur.
God bless you Ollie,
Kathleen

Ollie was a member of our Ship Model Club (SMSNJ). He was a generous and giving person who meant much to me and to the SMSNJ. An interesting memory is the story of when I first met him in the late 1980s before he joined SMSNJ. Ollie was doing some heat exchanger work for my employer and a coworker who knew that I built ship models took me to his factory. First, Ollie asked me if I built models. Then he asked me what materials I used to build my models. I told him wood. He said that he built in steel. He then proceeded to show me a Spanish Galleon, HMS Victory, and USS Constitution all in 1:48 scale. While I was totally blown away by the beautiful work, he told me that everything on the Constitution was wrong and that he was building another model of Constitution that was more accurate. He then brought me into his factory. There was a 1:24 scale hull of Constitution resting on the forks of a forklift. He then showed me machining drawings, on mylar, of every mast, spar, fife rail, capstan and fitting on the ship. This detail and exactness Ollie brought into everything. The generosity, knowledge, and kindness toward me and the SMSNJ was outstanding!
My condolences to the family of this wonderful and kind person.

I wish to address my comments directly to Olie as I know he is up "there" watching and listening to the events of today and tomorrow:
Olie: Well old buddy now you've gone and done it-checked out on me with no good-bye hugs and kisses-no more trips to our favorite work area-Trinidad. Trinidad where we worked so hard together-all day with customers-endless hours at The Tree House-Restaurant and bar..(mostly bar)--bake and shark on the beaches on week-ends-you missing Elaine so-and you with your shorts with knee-high black socks-(looked like a true UK tourist) and last but not least-the Casinos which you dragged me to. Only you and I can remember these "good times" with such fondness..I loved hearing your stories of which you had countless-growing up in Norway-skiing thru the German soldiers legs-etc.and of course the true love you have for your adopted country and personalized license plate"Thank You America."
Old pal-I will not be going back to Trinidad, and especially without you-even though I picked up the tab most of the time.-just kidding-lots of reasons.
I hope Elaine, Kenneth and Diane enjoy my heart-felt comments to you ; and taken in a good hearted manner-as I always speak from my heart. I know no other way..Rest my true friend...you deserve it..Gary Sr,

Thank you uncle Olof for the talks we had about our mutual experiences.
You and your family are in my thoughts even if there is an ocean between us.
Say hi to dad when you find him. I’m sure he will be there somewhere either fishing or tinkering with some doohickey.

Dear brother-in-law, how I'm going to miss visiting you and discussing the shows we watched on TV together.
I regret not being able to visit with you because of Covid 19, but you know I was there in my heart.
I always knew that if I needed anything you would be there for me. You were my rock. I'll miss you forever.

to all the family and friends of Olof, our sincere condolences.
We ( Roger & Elizabeth Clark from Milleniquip solutions in South Africa) met Olof by pure chance browsing the internet for alternate Elliott suppliers in 2002. Having not known each other from a bar of soap, he offered his services/ parts un-hesitantly and sent the first order to myself on the other end of the world without initial payment .
This showed a man of intergrity and trust and our relationship grew from strength to strength and 18 years later never let us down.
He had an un believable work ethic, I used to joke with him "stent after stent" to take it easy, take the weekend off, go on holiday, delegate etc etc, but he wouldn't have it. He had total commitment and dedication to his company, which was the key to its success
I often used to say I wished I could have visited him,and met him face to face and talked about the things we had in common, but regrettable it never happened.
He definately had a major influence with regard to my business success, through the excellent service/support, quality parts and advice on many technical issues along with patience in some cases with payments. (banking not too efficient down here)
Once again we are very saddened by his passing, and he will never be forgotten!!!!
