“When in doubt, wear red.”    Bill Blass

Patricia Ann Gregovich passed peacefully on Tuesday, July 7, 2020.  She shared 76 years of love and joy with her family. Visiting hours for the wake will be on Sunday, July 12th from 2-4 pm at the Norman Dean Home For Services, 16 Righter Ave, Denville.   A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 13th at 10 am at St. Mary’s Church, 15 Myers Ave, Denville.  Entombment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.  As an honor to her, visitors are requested to wear red (her favorite color), if possible.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the good work of either St. Jude Childrens’ Research Hospital or to St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center by way of www.inmemof.org Please share your memories here.  Her family will cherish them forever.

Patty was born in Montclair in December of 1943 to the late Jack and Virginia Savage, she was the second of two daughters.  After her schooling she started her longtime career at NJ Bell Telephone Company, where she retired from after more than 30 years of service.  She was blessed with a son, Kirk and she did everything to give him a beautiful childhood and raised him to be someone she could be proud of.  She was fun loving, good natured, never met a dog she didn’t love and had a strong belief in family. She enjoyed having friends and family near to celebrate life’s big moments or just because it was a beautiful evening.

On a blind date, she met Robert (Bobby) Gregovich and the rest was history.  They married in 1975, worked hard, and eventually settled in Denville.  After her retirement, they were able to enjoy more time down the shore in their bungalow, which held a special place in their heart.  She served as President of the Ladies Auxiliary with the Parsippany Elks, enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and traveling.  They were lucky enough to own a timeshare in St. Maarten and escaped some cold NJ winters in paradise together.

She was a proud Mom of her son Kirk and was fortunate to take a trip of a lifetime with her sister Nancy, to visit him and his wife in the Netherlands and Ireland last year.

Although we are saddened by her passing, we take comfort in knowing she is watching from above and smiling with joy.

She leaves beautiful memories to Robert (Bobby) Gregovich, her husband of 45 years; her son and daughter-in-law, Kirk and Dana Wylie; her step daughter Donna Zecca (Joe); her grandchildren Joey and Marco; siblings Nancy Savage, Jack Savage and Don Savage (Susan) and many more dear relatives and friends.
