Dear Sister Patty
I recall, when we were quite young, you showed my Jack and I how to dance the mashed potato. You will always dance in my heart.

Cousin Patty,
You were the beautiful little flower girl at my parents wedding, Doris (Hurley) and James Crowley in 1947 and everyone says you lived a good and beautiful life. Maybe because you had a great mom Aunt Virginia. It was good to see you after many years at the Shore last summer. Rest in Peace.

Dear Sister Pat, she will be missed, always kind, generous, and giving. I remember many wonderful times at the bungalow in Point Pleasant, but some of my fondest memories go to the early years. Patty was a free spirit back then and quite a looker. When she would come to visit us at the family home in Kinnelon, I would always wonder what color her hair would be this time. Sometimes blond, sometime red, sometime dark. She always knew the latest dances: The Mash, The Mash Potato, the Swim, the Twist. On some occasions, during the summer, she would come with my Mom, my brother and me to our local beach at Cold Spring Lake. I was quite young at the time and I had kind of idolized and looked up to the local lifeguard, Larry by name, I thought he was pretty cool at the time. I was anxious to point him out to Patty, knowing that she was quite the looker, thought maybe they would even end up dating. When I pointed him out, Patty said "Oh, he's not that great." I was quite disappointed, but Patty had pretty high standards in those days. Only a few months ago, I had driven down to see Pat for what turned out to be out last birthday celebration . We were almost exactly ten years apart, she born on December 6th and I on December 5th. We talked about "Larry the Life Guard" who she remembered quite well. But she didn't say if she really thought "he wasn't that great." She will be missed, a simple, wise and loving woman with such a positive outlook on life, always willing to help, never judgmental, always understanding. Love you Pat, till we meet again….
