Salvatore P. Simone passed away on Sunday December 2, 2007 at Morristown Memorial Hospital, he was 91.
Born in Brooklyn NY he was a resident of Rutherford for over 20yrs and recently of Morris County.
He worked as a Cutter/Grader in the garment industry for many years retiring from the Evan Picone label in 1993. He loved music and playing the piano. He volunteered his pianist skills to numerous nursing homes in the area.
His wife of 55yrs Josephine and his brothers Vincent and Frank predeceased him.
Surviving is his companion Gloria Markisz, three daughters Annette and Tom Jaskot, Rosanne and her fianc Charles Haag, and Michele and her husband Kevin OBrien. Also surviving are three grandsons Jason Jaskot and Kevin and Kyle OBrien and his brother Joseph Simone.
A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday December 5, at 10:00am at the Notre Dame of Mount Carmel Church in Cedar Knolls. Visitation will be held on Tuesday December 4, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the Norman Dean Home For Services 16 Righter avenue Denville NJ 07834.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105.
