Liva S. Nordskog (Torstensen) passed away at her home on August 24, 2007.
She was 87 years old.
Born in Skudesneshaun, Norway, she moved the USA in 1949, settling in Brooklyn, NY where she lived for over 50 years prior to moving to the Marcella section of Rockaway Twp., NJ in 1998.
Liva had been a homemaker, and served in the Salvation Army during WWII.
She was a member of the Norwegian Singers Society, and Ladies Auxillary in Brooklyn, NY.
He is pre deceased by her husband John Nordskog (1987), and her daughter Reidun Kane (1992)
Her daughters Margaret Dubanowich of Rockaway Twp., NJ and Arlene Fisichelli of Brooklyn, NY survive her.
Her Son in-law Donald Kane of Lake Norman, NC, and her Grandchildren John Dubanowich, Jesse Dubanowich, Allison Fisichelli-Roberts, and Joanna Fisichelli and Great Grandson Atticus also survive her.
A funeral service will be held at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave Denville, NJ www.normandean.com on Tuesday August 28, at 10M. Interment services will follow at Cypress Hills Cemetery in Queens, NY. Friends may visit on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9PM.
