Liva was a loving, fun, sparkling lady who was always a pleasure to be around. I will always remember drinking port with her around your kitchen table, Margie, and the good times we had with her at The Quiet Man. I know you all must miss her, just as I know you will take comfort in the incredible love she had for her family and for the lord.

MorMor and MorFar would take care of me after school every Monday and Wednesday while my mother was at work, and every time at 5:00 she would tell me to "Look out der vindow and see if your mammy is komming". I pronounced it "vindow" until I was 5.
One time she let me and my sister eat all the chocolate in our Advent calendar in the beginning of December. Mom was pissed about it, but that chocolate was so awesome.
One time my sister and I were sleeping over her apartment in Staten Island when I was about 8 or 9 (this was after MorFar had passed away). It turned out that I had a bad case of sinuitus, and I ended up throwing up all over her floor. I felt so bad that she had to clean it up, because I had just eaten a hamburger with onions (her specialty!) and the vomit looked REALLY gross. But she didn't complain or say anything, she just cleaned it up. Oddly enough, I have always felt guilty about that day, about throwing up on her carpet, and her having to clean it up, because I've always been disgusted by the entire concept of throwing up, and will vomit long and hard if I see someone doing it. It was remarkable to me that she didn't end up just vomiting too. It wasn't until this year when both I had my son and my husband suffered through one of the worst stomach flus I've ever seen that I realize that if you truly love someone with every ounce of your being, that no bodily fluid that they end up spraying all over you will ever bother you. And I love knowing that she loved me that much.
