Michael Edward Colleton, 68, died on Friday Dec. 29, 2006 at the Compassionate Care Hospice at Saint Clares Hospital, Dover, NJ
Mr. Colleton was born in Brooklyn, NY, and is currently a resident of Mountain Lakes, NJ formally of Ridgewood, NJ. He was a graduate of Polly Prep Country Day School, The College of William and Mary in Virginia and The Brooklyn Law School. Mr. Colleton served active duty in the United States Army from 1960-1962 and retired from the United States Army Reserves in 1966 with a rank of Captain. His career included the US Treasury Dept, Peat, Marwick & Mitchell Esq., and director of his tax consultant practice until 1987 when he joined 800 JR Cigar. He was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity.
He was the son of the late Sarah and Michael Colleton and brother to the late Catherine Dudek. His wife Maureen, two sisters, Barbara Quinn and Eileen Griffith, twelve brothers and sisters in law and thirty-two nieces and nephews survive him.
The funeral will be conducted from the Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Avenue Denville, NJ www.normandean.com on Thursday Jan. 4th at 10:00am for a 11:00am Liturgy of Christian Burial Service at St. Catherine of Siena Church Mountain Lakes, NJ. Relatives and friends will be received on Wednesday Jan. 3rd from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Saint Clares Foundation, 75 Bloomfield Avenue, Denville, NJ 07834 would be appreciated.
