Obituary of Barbara Theresa Colantoni

Barbara T. Colantoni, 67, passed away at home, on Tuesday, February 10th, surrounded by her loving family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 14th at 9:30 am at St. Mary's Church, Denville. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, Feb. 13th from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the Norman Dean Home For Services, 16 Righter Ave, Denville. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to the good work of Atlantic Hospice, 465 South St. Suite 100, Morristown, NJ 07960. Born and raised in Denville, Barbara graduated from Morris Catholic. She met and later married Robert Colantoni and the couple settled in Rockaway where they raised their four children. She worked as a hairdresser for almost 40 years. Barbara enjoyed knitting gifts for friends and family, but above all, she was an amazing homemaker. A devoted wife, mother and super Grammie; Barbara's family was her pride and joy. She leaves happy memories to her husband Bob of 49 years; children Stephen (Jennifer), Marianne Sayle (Jeff), Joseph (Emilie), and Mark (Jessica); grandchildren Vincent, Thomas, Amanda, Christina and Kenley; brother Ed Halbig (Karen); and many more loving relatives and friends.
