Laurel Ann Schmidt, 65, died on Tuesday September 23, 2014 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Philipsburg, NJ.
Laurel was born in Elizabeth and had lived in Green Pond section of Rockaway, NJ before moving to Hampton Terrace Group Home in Philipsburg, NJ several years ago.
She was predeceased by her father Albert Schmidt, her mother Helen Meny as well as her sister Alana Corbett.
She is survived by her brother Kirk Schmidt and his wife Jane, niece Jillian Filan, great nephew Christian Schmidt, her brother in-law Robert Corbett and his wife Anita, a step-sister Anne Garrison, nephews Andrew Corbett and Leo Garrison and uncles Dwight and Robert Kirkpatrick.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday September 29, 2014 at 10:00 AM at the Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave. Denville, NJ www.normandean.com.
Friends may visit with the family on Sunday from 2-4 PM.
