Obituary of Chester Guzik
Chester Guzik, on October 26th, 2019, while sleeping, went to be with the Lord, to experience more joy than we could imagine; being with Jesus, and all the loved ones that preceded him. Born in Paterson, NJ to Polish immigrants Gabriel and Stella Guzik, he was raised there with his 11 siblings. Later to reside in Rockaway Township, NJ, with his wife and children since 1974.
Chester proudly served in the United States Air Force. He then worked for the United States Post Office in Wayne, NJ, for 30 plus years before retiring. In his spare time, Chester enjoyed acting in community theater, he also loved to draw, read, and do gardening of both flowers and vegetables. Another few of his passions were attending bingo with his wife, taking care of his fish tanks, and he enjoyed watching the Yankees, and even doing yoga.
Chester is survived by his brother Edmund, and sisters Sophie and Stella; his beloved wife of 59 years, Patricia (Lewkowicz) Guzik of Rockaway Twp., NJ. He is also survived by his loving children Carolyn and her husband Pat Fenton of Blairstown, NJ, A.J. and his wife Ande Guzik of Windsor, CO, Andrew and his wife Linda Guzik of Budd Lake, NJ, and Laura and her husband Todd Keller of Rockaway, NJ.
