God rest his soul a great Spirit as a young girl I would watch Richie throw his pink ball into the chalk box at No . 5 . We would go over to his cousins homes Neil & Louise .what FUN ! Ride with Kenny in his green card . Richie never knew how good looking he was . Always a kind soul . We would laugh our butts off and eat all the food and go to the local candy stores . Great times really wonderful memories. I salute his family a solid family tree . Good peoples . All love to his wife & daughter’s . Stand tall your papa was a good guy . A Big Ass shout out to Richie Payne a dude with a kind soul . Raiders forever . Alice Devlin aka Mrs . Martiniello

Your father was a childhood friend of mine. We use to have so much fun hanging out at #5 school with Neil and driving in your Uncle Kenny’s car. One time comes to mind when we were all in Kenny’s car and Kenny threw your father out because they were fighting and we got out of the car to we went to the other car that was following but we had no idea how to go home Kenny had taken us to the Delaware water gap it was a night I’ll never forget but I never laughed so hard we were young and we got home really late your father was a great friend and a great person he will be truly missed I’m so sorry for your loss

My deepest condolences to Jane, Jessica and Danielle for their loss.
I have so many great memories of my cousin Richie. It was always an adventure living on Day Avenue in Cliffside Park, next door to each other. We started Kindergarten together at Number Five School in in Miss Morrisey's class with our cousin Neil, and continued school together until we graduated from Cliffside Park High School. I remember sitting on the hoods of our fathers' cars and watching the fire works on 4th of July with our brothers and cousins. I remember telling our parents we were going to mass at Our Lady of Grace on Sunday mornings. Our intentions were good, but often, we went to the candy store on Anderson Avenue instead. We also went for our driver's licenses together...and passed!
The memories continued when we had our own children and so many of the second cousins celebrated their birthdays together. Richie was so proud of his family. Rest in peace, Cousin Richie.

Growing up a next-door neighbor to cousin Richie, I always got to see first-hand, his talent as a young athlete, then later on as a highly-skilled carpenter, and always, ALWAYS, his great sense of humor. He had a special way to put friends and family at ease, no matter the situation, with clever and hilarious observations, even during difficult times, and often poking fun at himself.
As a teenager, Richie taught me how to drive a stick shift on his MGB GT, allowing me to back it out of our shared driveway and take it around the block even before I had a driver’s license!
And as we grew older and raised families, whenever we got together, he had that special way about him, that allowed us to pick up where we left off, like we never skipped a beat.
Cousin Richie will be greatly missed and remembered always.
My heartfelt condolences to Jayne, Jess and Danielle.

To Jane, Jessica and Danielle, please accept our condolences for the loss of your dear father. He was very sick for a long time but I know he loved his wife and his daughters very much. He will be very much missed but God showed his mercy when he called him up in Heaven. He's no longer in pain, he's finally at peace.
Love,
Chiara Fariello and family
