Obituary of Jacqueline Nicole Berry
Jacqueline Nicole “Jackie” Berry passed away peacefully on April 7, 2019. She was 30 years young.
Jackie was born and raised in Denville and was one of four children. After graduating from High School, she attended College in Colorado majoring in Psychology. A genuine, kind, and compassionate woman, she was someone that would always lend a helping hand to those in need. Jackie loved animals; she took a particular interest in red-tailed hawks and had a very special place in her heart for adored cats, Bob, who predeceased her, and Marley. In her spare time, she greatly enjoyed spending time in the woods, fishing, hiking, camping, taking pictures, or going to concerts and festivals. She also took an interest in the arts as she was always working on a new art project. Hopefully the void that she has left in our heart can be refilled by remembering the funny faces she had mastered, the sound of her voice saying “I love you” at the end of every conversation, and the extraordinary talent she had for making people feel at ease.
She leaves only joyful memories to her treasured Momma and best friend, Cathryn Erving; her loving step-father, Henry Erving; her cherished siblings, Thomas Berry, Jr., Jessica Erving, and Patricia Erving; and her caring niece and nephews.
Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday, May 3rd from 6 – 8 pm at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Avenue, Denville, NJ. Please leave a condolence, share a special memory, and light a candle for Jackie in order to let her light shine on in the lives of all of the folks she has touched on her short time on this earth.
To all of Jackie’s friends, please understand how much you meant to Jackie and her mother. Cathryn considers all of you her surrogate children and she would love to hear all of the memories and good times you have shared with Jackie, even years from now. It is very important that we continue to talk about Jackie, say her name, and share her story. She will never be forgotten.
"Grief never ends... But it changes. It's a passage, not a place to stay. Grief is not a sign of weakness, nor a lack of faith... It is the price of love."
