Obituary of Susan Barbara Ayers
Susan Barbara Ayers, of Hamburg, passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2019 at Morristown Medical Center. She was 55 years young.
Born in Paterson to Leonard DiGangi and the late Georgiann (McCaba), she was a lifelong Sussex County resident. Susan graduated from Sussex County Technical School before finding her calling as a Certified Nurse’s Aide. As a Nurse’s Aide, she went above and beyond for her patients. Not only would she make sure that everyone was taken care of medically, but she also made sure they had clean clothes on their back, as well as took them places to enjoy a nice day out to feel special and cared about. Susan was a fantastic caregiver. She was also an animal lover, taking a special interest in puppies. Above anything else, her family came first. She was a remarkable wife, daughter, niece and friend who will be forever treasured in our hearts.
Left to continue her legacy of unconditional love and laughter is her beloved husband of 35 years, Michael Ayers; her cherished father, Leonard DiGangi; her caring Aunts & Uncles, Frank DiGangi and his wife Dawn, Carol (the late Victor) DiGangi, Arlene Sapperstein and her husband Arthur and Frances DiGangi; and many cousins and extended family.
Relatives and friends are welcome to celebrate the life of Susan on Thursday, March 28th from 4 – 8 pm with Funeral Service beginning at 7 pm at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Ave., Denville. Memorial Donations are being accepted by way of www.inmemof.org to the Lupus Foundation of America. Please leave a condolence, light a candle, and share a special memory for her family.
