His family will cherish them forever.
Dick was born in Wilkes Barre, PA in 1940 to the late John and Helen. He was one of two sons to bless the Lukac family. Shortly after they moved to Brooklyn where he attended school. As a young man, he met and married Mary Ann Konnick and they settled in Denville, NJ. They raised three sons, Rick, Scott and Mark. Dick stayed busy with his work at Bendix, Allied, and finally retiring from Honeywell. In his spare time, he coached his sons’ sports and was always tinkering with a project. Sadly, in 1994 Mary Ann passed after a brief illness. A few years later and after much encouragement, Dick was introduced to Patricia Williams. He was smitten and the couple married a year later. After his retirement in 2004 they were able to travel to all of the beautiful places he had dreamed of. He and Pat saw the world together. They loved taking trips to Disney each year with the grandchildren and spoiling them rotten. When he was home, he could be found in his workshop building beautiful gifts for family and friends. His hands crafted rocking horses, cradles, tables and many other pieces through the years, all made with love.
Dick was also an auto enthusiast. Recently, he bought a fast and loud Mustang GT. He loved driving this American machine. Above everything, he loved his family. He was so proud of each and every one of them; especially his seven granddaughters. He would brag about them to anyone who would listen. We find comfort today knowing he is at peace and watching over his family with love.
He leaves a lifetime of memories to his loving wife Patricia (nee Miller); his children Rick (Jocelyn), Scott (Robin) and Mark (Claudia); Patricia’s children Maureen Barry (Bob) and Stephen Williams; his adored grandchildren Deanna, Kelly and Jillian Lukac, Dayana Gomez and Helene, Emily and Grace Ball; his brother Norman Lukac and his loyal canine Lacey. Dick is predeceased by Patricia’s mother Fannie and her daughter Michele Ball, whom Dick adored.
