Obituary of Edward T. Russick
Edward T. Russick, 93, of Denville, formerly of Vandling, PA, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home surrounded by loving family members on Monday, February 25, 2019.
Born and raised in Forest City, PA to the late John & Josephine Roszak, he graduated from Forest City High School. Throughout his life, he had many careers in the Syracuse area working for companies such as General Electric and DeWitt Wholesale warehouse employee. He married the love of his life, Frances in April of 1947 and together they raised their family in North Syracuse, NY before retiring to Carbondale, PA. Edward was a simple, quiet man and a devout Catholic. He was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in PA, Past Grand Knight for Knights of Columbus Council in North Syracuse, NY and 3rd Degree Knight for Council #3359 in Denville, NJ. Edward was a lifetime Syracuse University sports fan, a phenomenal husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and will forever be treasured in our memories.
Predeceased by his beloved wife, Frances and his brother, Thomas Russick, left to keep his legacy of unconditional love and hard work alive is his adored son, Edward J. Russick, Jr. and his wife Eileen; his cherished grandchildren, Michael Russick and his wife Yim Gong and Bonnie Russick; his treasured great-grandchildren, Ayden, Preston, and Noah; and his caring sister, Betty (the late Richard) Smith; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
Public Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 28th from 7 – 9 pm at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ 07834. Public Visitation will also be held on Saturday, March 2nd from 9:30 – 10:30 am at Lawrence A. Gabriel Funeral Home, 74 North Main Street, Carbondale, PA 18407. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 am at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 15 Fallbrook St, Carbondale, PA 18407 with entombment following at Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA. Memorial Donations are being accepted to Joey Bella Memorial Fund, 15 Myers Ave., Denville, NJ 07834 or joeybella.org.
