Obituary of Ronald Roberts

Ronald Roberts passed away at his home in Denville, NJ on February 12, 2019, at the age of 83. Born in Newark, he had lived in Garfield before moving to Denville, NJ in 1968. Ronald served in the United Stated Naval Reserves during the Korean and Vietnam War. He earned his Associated degree from County College of Morris and went to work as a designer/draftsman for 60 years before retiring in 2004. He was a volunteer firefighter for the town of Denville for many years. Ronald loved to do yardwork, computer research, he loved his cats, listening to music from the '40's & '50's, and he loved his 1973 Mustang convertible and his 1986 Mercury Cougar 20th Anniversary model. He was a happy man who enjoyed spending time with his family. Ronald was the most reliable father & grandfather, always ready, willing and able to help. His huge personality will be greatly missed. He is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Theresa (Weilbaecher) Roberts of Denville, NJ, as well as his loving children, Kimberly and her husband Glenn Kraus of Budd Lake, Ronald and his wife Michelle Roberts of Far Hills, Timothy Roberts of Boonton, and Susan Cassells of Hackettstown, NJ. He is also survived by his grandchildren Cassidy, Nolan, Brielle, Nicholas, Alexandria, Travis, Tara and Justin, and his great granddaughter Kinnley. His siblings Barbara Gebbia of Manchester, Virginia Schouten of Manchester, NJ, William Roberts of Guilford, CT and Paul Roberts of Glen Rock, NJ and many Nieces and Nephews including Meliisa, Jake, Rachel, Chris, Katie, Rebecca, Kyle and Emilee.also survive him. Visitation will take place on Friday February 15, 2019, from 3:00 PM- 7:00PM at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave Denville, NJ 07834 www.normandean.com. Funeral services will begin at 10:00am on Saturday February 16th at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Denville Cemetery.
