Obituary of Lorraine Barbara Dresch
Lorraine Barbara Dresch, of Mesquite, NV, formerly of Denville, passed away peacefully after a courageous 4 year battle with cancer. She passed in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, February 6, 2019. She was 80 years young.
Born in Dover to the late Luther VanHeusen and Edna Cook, Lorraine was raised in Denville. She graduated from Morris Hills High School and met the love of her life, Edwin H. Dresch. They were married on January 10, 1959 and just celebrated their 60th anniversary. Together they raised 3 beautiful children in the Indian Lake area. After Edwin retired, they enjoyed many road trips across the country before settling down in Mesquite, Nevada. While there, they quickly made lifelong friends and remained very active. Lorraine was the best wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to everyone. She will be sorely missed and forever treasured in our memories.
Predeceased by her adored son, Stephen Dresch, she leaves only joyful memories to her beloved husband, Edwin; her loving children, Donna Rardain (husband Jeff) and Barbara DelValle (husband Ray); her treasured grandchildren, Dana Gallick (husband James), Jacob Honick, and Brandon Delvalle; her cherished great-grandchildren, Emma and Aubrey Gallick, and niece Linda Roman (husband Bob), and children.
Public Visitation will be held on Friday, February 22nd from 10 - 11:30 am at Norman Dean Home for Services. Burial will take place on Friday, February 22nd at 1:30 pm at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 225 Ridgedale Avenue, East Hanover, NJ 07936. Please leave a condolence, special memory, and light a candle in Lorraine's memory.
