Obituary of Stephen Thomas Kingdon

Please share a memory of Stephen to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

"The song is ended, but the melody lingers on…" -Irving Berlin

Stephen Thomas Kingdon, of Rockaway Township, is now at peace and no longer courageously battling his addictions. He passed away on Friday, November 2, 2018 in the comfort of his home. He was 31 years young.

Born in Denville and raised in Rockaway Township, he has been a lifelong area resident. Stephen graduated from Morris Hills High School. For a short period of time, he found a passion in cooking and became a great Chef. Stephen also had a deep dedication and devotion to music. He played drums and guitar and was also an amazing poet and writer. Another joy in his life was cars and trucks; when it came to trucks, he loved eighteen wheelers; his favorite cars were Volkswagens. His favorite pastime was watching the Yankees... even the classic games.

Stephen was a kind hearted soul with an amazing personality. Although he was taken too soon from this world, he made sure to live his life to the fullest and enjoyed every second of it. He made such an impact on so many lives and we ask that you continue to remember the wonderful man that he was. Please call his family and share your good memories about Stephen; we know no one will ever forget him and sharing those memories are very important.

Left to continue his legacy of love and laughter is his beloved parents, Bruce and Vicki (Salvato) Kingdon; his loving sister, Kristen Theresa Kingdon; his caring Uncle Steve and Aunt Donna Salvato and Aunt Sue Salvato; his little buddy, Tiger; and many other extended family and friends.

Public Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 8th from 4 – 8 pm with Funeral Service beginning at 7:45 pm at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Ave., Denville. Cremation will be private. Memorial Donations are being accepted by way of inmemof.org/Stephen-Thomas-Kingdon to Eva’s Village in Paterson, NJ. Please leave a condolence for his family and light a candle to let his memory shine on.
