Joan was born in 1932 to the late William and Bertha Sinclair. She was one of six girls to bless the family. After her schooling she started a family of her own, raising five children. She worked for Warner Chilcott for a while and then later served as a driving force and owner with the family business, Sentry Pump Co. She worked hard along with her husband Frank to give the family a beautiful life. She was generous to a fault and loving beyond measure. She also, was loved by everyone. She was affectionately known as “Grammy Joan” by many and to her nearest and dearest as “Gram”, “Great Gram” and the latest, “Great Bam”. She was playful and joyful and loved her family. The sun rose and set on her ten grandchildren and her eight great grandchildren. Like many she had her share of heartache, losing two of her children and a beloved granddaughter. She was always strong for the family and has left an example of love and grace for us all. Although we are saddened by her passing, we take comfort in knowing we have another Angel watching over the family with love and pride.
Predeceased by her children Robert McCurdy and Nancy McCurdy; her granddaughter Krista McCurdy; her brother William Sinclair and her sister Ruth Ayres; she leaves a lifetime of memories to her dearhusband Frank of 52 years; sons John McCurdy (Beth) and Bruce McCurdy (Patty Emery); her daughter Karin Bott (Bruce); her grandchildren Casey McCurdy, Bill Neumann, Nicole Olivo, Matthew Neumann, John, Brian and Christopher McCurdy and Bruce and Alexander Bott; her eight great grandchildren; her sisters Barbara Schultz, Patricia Ayres, Diane Espinoza and Linda McCroy; and many more dear relatives, friends and acquaintances.
