Obituary of Concetta A. Cocuzza

Concetta A. "Connie" Cocuzza (Banda), passed away at Franciscan Oaks Health Center in Denville, NJ on September 13, 2018, at the age of 98. Born in Newark, she spent most of her life in Irvington before moving to Denville, NJ in 2001. Connie worked as a seamstress in Newark and was a member of St. Paul's Church in Irvington, NJ. She loved to sing and was a member of the choir as well as a member of the Rosary Society at St. Paul's. Above all else she loved to spend time with her family, especially while beating her children at her favorite game of Scrabble. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 36 years, Joseph Cocuzza in 1983. Connie is survived by her loving children Anthony Cocuzza of Wilmington, DE, Gerald and his wife Caren Cocuzza of Rockaway, NJ, her Grandson Christopher Cocuzza and her sister Edith Spatola of Jacksonville, FL. Visitation will be held on Monday September 17, 2018, from 2-4PM & 7-9PM at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave Denville, NJ 07834 www.normandean.com. Funeral services will begin at the funeral home on Tuesday September 18, at 9AM and then going to St. Catherine of Siena Church 10 North Pocono Road Mountain Lakes, NJ 07046 for a 10:00AM Liturgy of Christian Burial Mass. Entombment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park 1500 Stuyvesant Avenue Union, NJ 07083.
