Yolanda Festa passed away with her family by her side on May 27, 2018 at Morristown Memorial Hospital. Her faithfulness, compassion and strength will truly be missed.

She was born to Arthur and Anna Ardizzone (Jiosi) in Newark, New Jersey.  Yolanda earned two Master’s Degrees in teaching and counseling. She had a strong work ethic, being employed with Newton High School and Sussex County Community College for 38 years as an English teacher and Guidance Counselor.  Through her work and community she showed how much she loved to give back. Yolanda donated to many organizations and would always be one to put her hand out to help. She loved to vacation with family, was proud of her Italian heritage and was a passionate patriot who loved her country and the opportunities and freedoms it offers.  Above all else, she was an amazing wife of 53 years, mother, grandmother and friend, and entirely devoted to her family.

She leaves happy memories to her beloved husband Michael Festa; caring daughters Danielle (Joe) Lordi, Joanne (Lee) DeCarolis and Michelle (Jason) Haight; adoring grandchildren Anna and Catherine DeCarolis, Amelia and Alivia Haight, and many other dear relatives and friends.

Family and friends may pay their respects on Friday, June 1st at the Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Avenue, Denville from 4 – 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on June 2nd at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s RC Church, 15 Myers Avenue, Denville.  Interment to follow at St. Cecilia’s Cemetery, Rockaway. In her memory donations may be made to the good works of LUNGevity Foundation (lungevity.org) by way the of www.inmemoryof-memorial.org.  Please share a memory or leave a condolence for the family.
