Raymond J. Hopping passed away peacefully in Dover, NJ on May 24, 2018.  He had 93 years of love, laughter and fun; he will be missed by many.

He was born to Raymond S. and Clara Hopping (Canfield) in Morristown, NJ.  He served his country in the United States Marine Corps during World War II. After his honorable discharge he worked at Reaction Motors doing high speed photography and filming of the development of the X-15 rocket motor, which were man’s first steps towards entering space.  Once Reaction Motors moved to Utah, he and his wife Ruby started A-1 Marking Service, where he worked until he retired at the age of 75. Following the War he moved to Rockaway Township, NJ where he would spend the rest of his life raising a family of his own. He and his wife had a great passion for gardening and loved to travel.

He leaves a legacy and many happy memories to his sons Raymond W. Hopping (Cindy) and Robert Hopping; sisters Alice Hull and Carol Setters and many other dear relatives and friends.  Raymond was predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Ruby Hopping and daughter Chrysan Dobosh.
