Mary’s family: I'm so sorry for your loss. I went through a similar situation and I was very helped by the hope that I found in the Bible in John 5: 28, which says, "Do not amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". Dear Duffy Family We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing away of Mrs Mary Duffy. She was a cheerful person and had a hearty laugh to accompany her personality. We remember the times in NJ when Mary and Jack would be present and act as gracious hosts to all who visited. Jim and I are in Florida at this time or would be at the wake. So sadden to hear about your mom. She was a great neighbor when we were all in denville. I remember her always laughing and smiling. Our condolences to all of her family. I am sure she is happy in heaven with jack.

Kathy, Kevin, Moira, Ellen and Megan Too many warm, loving and cherished memories of your mother (and father) to count. She had TWO ears which she used wisely, an endless supply of kind and encouraging words, room in her heart and home for all of us stray children and some legendary party recipes (e.g. Duffy dip). Your childhood home and your parents were some of my absolute best memories largely because Mary Duffy was THAT MOM. She was loved and will be missed but left some indelible footprints - mostly how to be generous at all times, live life well and laugh, to be gracious, kind (well dressed too!!!!) and always have hope. We were so saddened by the news of Mrs. Duffy's passing. She, like her beloved husband, Jack, were always smiling, and pleasant, and just wonderful people to be near. We were fortunate enough to see her recently, at my Dad's 90th birthday party, up in Jersey, in January. It was so great to spend even a short time with her! She looked great, and still full of life, as we will always remember her. We always considered the Duffy family to be part of our own. So, we share in your sadness for her passing, but, we also share in the memory of all of the joy that she brought to all of our lives, and in the knowledge that she is now re-united with her beloved Jack, in Heaven. I can see them now, both smiling down with pride, for their wonderful family!! May the memory of Mary and Jack Duffy, be eternal! God bless you all! Sincerely, Ken and Irene Walsh

When Megan told me that Mrs. Duffy had passed away...I was heartbroken. The Duffy's have always been a very important part of the Walshes extended family. I am so very sorry for all of your pain but glad she is home in Heaven now. Mom and her have some catching up to do I am sure!. Mrs. Duffy has always been so kind and loving towards our family. She will be missed dearly. My deepest sympathies to all of you. You are in my thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time. Love always, Kerry xoxo
