My wonderful memories of Steve: We were classmates and friends from K-HS. There is no question that he was the brightest student in the graduating class! In 1st grade his father built him a board with lights, switches, buzzers, he was so proud. In 4th grade he was my writing arm when I broke my arm! He loved Charlie Brown and wrote his HS paper on him. In Boy Scouts he was my patrol leader. He was the greatest fire starter in Klondike Derby. In 8th he made an oxygen hydrogen fuel cell, everyone was so impressed. In High School he made 2 ghz transceiver and later converted it to a 2meter radio which he knew was far more useful. When we saw each other in college he was in an electronics club and at the time the club was building a radar unit! I have so many wonderful memories of Steve. We have lost an amazing human being. May he rest in peace.

Steve and I were neighbors and I would say best friends from the 2nd to 8th grades. We would play board and cards every rainy day in the summer. I always enjoyed that time with him. He was so smart that he would pull me to try to approach his level, very challenging.
As adults he was my tenant and neighbor again with his office in Denville for 21 years. He always helped us with our IT systems and was always a very classy gentlemen to everyone in our building.
I will miss him as a friend and special person. I was truly blessed to have known him so long.

I have many fond memories of times spent in the Halliburton house growing up. I spent so much time there in the 90s that Wendy and Steve were practically my second parents. Steve was always remarkably giving with his time, sharing hobbies (computers, radio, model rockets, pretty much any thing science related).
I remember many a time spent playing trivial pursuit, watching classic movies, or going outside the house in winter to warm up. Steve inspired a lifetime love of science and learning in me, and I cannot thank him enough for that gift. His smile will always be in my memory.
Craig, Mrs. H - My deepest sympathies go out to you as Steve left us too soon. I'm glad to have such great recollections of Mr. H and hope that you can take some solace in knowing how many lives he impacted in a positive, meaningful way.

Steve was always there and ready to respond. It was a pleasure working with him on our web site and the use of UED/UEN. We at Nevins Machinery Concepts, Inc. would like to express our deepest condolences to Steve's family and to his staff at UED.

Steve could brighten my day just my saying hello. He was always ready to answer my questions and there were many in the beginning. I will miss hearing his happy voice when I need something from hsix. What a unique fellow he was! Wendy you have our deepest sympathy from Standard Industrial in Alabama.

Steve was there for me when I started my business in 2005. He provided solutions day, night, and weekends. He was efficient, ready with a humorous insight and he was always kind and always attentive. Steve, and Steve's business, were one of the early pillars of our success. He is already missed.
