Obituary of Stephen Todd Powell
Stephen Todd Powell passed away on February 22, 2018 at St. Clare’s Hospital in Dover, NJ with his wife and daughter by his side.
He was born to Henry and Katherine Powell (Diefenbach) in Passaic, NJ. After High School, Stephen joined the United States Navy and served his country for three years during the Vietnam War. Later, a career in printing as a type setter and more recently in Sales, his last job being at Saturn of Denville. Previously married for 27 years until her passing to minister, Rev Lin Powell, Stephen was always very much involved with church and his community. He had a strong personal faith and performed in church related theatre. In addition to music, Stephen loved gardening, boating and cats. At one time he was the caretaker to 12 cats. He also was a NASCAR enthusiast. Above all, family came first and his heart always lived with them.
He leaves happy memories to his wife of 17 years, Lauren Mannix Powell and daughters Jamie Haas-Powell and Dana Remoff. Please leave a condolence or share a memory with the family.
