Obituary of Salvatore Padormo
With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Salvatore Padormo. Please continue to keep Salvatore and his family in your prayers. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 10:00 am at the Norman Dean Home For Services. Interment at St. Cecilia's Cemetery, Rockaway to follow.
Donations in his memory may be made to the good work of Compassionate Care Hospice, 400 West Blackwell St., Dover, NJ 07801. Please share your memories here, his family will cherish them forever.
Salvatore was born in Ciminna, Palermo, Italy and immigrated to the US as a young man. He and Rose settled in Queens where they raised a family of their own. Later they moved to NJ, where they lived in Rockaway for over 20 years. He retired from the Excavators Union Local 731 after many years of hard work.
He leaves beautiful memories to his devoted wife Rose (nee Speziale) of 61 years; his loving children Helen (Stuart) Dubson and Philip Padormo; his adored grandchildren Samantha and Philp Dubson and Vincent, Katherine and Michael Padormo; his dear sisters Maria Anselmo and Francesca Polizzi; and many more dear relatives and friends. His brothers Onofrio and Giovanni passed previously.
