Obituary of Beverly Mildred Huston
Beverly (nee Windheim) Huston of Green Pond passed peacefully at her home on January 25, 2018. She was born in Passaic and raised in Nutley. She graduated from Nutley High School and Berkeley Secretarial School. She met William (Bill) Huston and the couple married in 1950. They settled in Whippany where they raised their family. After their children graduated high school, they settled in Green Pond where they have been ever since.
Married for 67 years to the love of her life Bill, who she had met as a teenager in Green Pond during her many summers at the lake. Beverly & Bill always had a very loving and devoted relationship. They both adored their family & loved traveling together.
Beverly enjoyed family vacations to Florida, St John in the Virgin Islands, Aruba, Cruises, being a Cub Scout Den Mother for many years, sewing, tennis, the beach, swimming, riding her bike and was a committed member of the Green Pond Chapel Club enjoying and participating in all of the activities.
Beverly was a full time mother and was very busy raising her five sons. She loved her children and grandchildren and deeply treasured birthdays, holidays and family get togethers.
Beverly was the loving Wife to William (Bill) Huston; devoted Mother of William Huston, Jr. & his late wife Dale (2017) of Denville, Barry & Joni Huston of Hawthorne, Bryan & Doreen Huston of Langhorne, PA, Bryce & Wendy Huston of Green Pond, Blair & Erin Huston of Green Pond; cherished Grandmother of Jennifer Fano, Larissa Longberg, Kimberly Hiza, Bari Huston, Stephanie, Sam, Jaclyn Huston, Derek, Jared, Logan Huston, Hayleigh, Brayden & Colby Huston; her adoring great-grandchildren Sabrina & Gabriela Fano, Milena & Max Hiza, Chase & Riker Longberg; dear Sister of the late Fred Windheim (2013) & his wife Peggy of Nutley, Diane & Charles Scott of Kettering, OH. She was predeceased by her Sister in Law Helen Pierson (2018) & her husband Vaughn (2004) of Whippany. She also leaves many nieces and nephews and dear friends.
She will continue to be deeply loved and will be missed beyond measure. Please remember her in your prayers.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday February 10, 2018 at 12 noon at the Norman Dean Home For Services, 16 Righter Ave., Denville. Visiting hours will begin at 10 o’clock that morning. A Green Pond Memorial service will be held on July 7, 2018 at the Green Pond Chapel. Please check back for time. In Lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Beverly’s memory to the Green Pond First Aid Squad, P.O. Box 251, Newfoundland, NJ 07435 or the Green Pond Fire Department, P.O. Box 86, Newfoundland, NJ 07435 and would be greatly appreciated.
