Please share a memory of Eileen to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Eileen Patricia Vitolo, of Parsippany, passed away peacefully, after a courageous battle with Huntington’s Disease, surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at Morris View Healthcare Center in Morris Plains. She was 76 years old.

Born in Wilmington, DE to the late Richard and Helen Elliott, she was one of three daughters who grew up in various places across the hemisphere as her father’s work took the family from Wilmington to Rock Island, IL to Caracas, Venezuela then to Philadelphia and finally to New Jersey. She received her Registered Nurse’s Degree in 1961 and embarked on a nursing career. Later in life she pursued a bachelor’s degree at Upsala College graduating with a BA in Literature in 1985. Although her passion was reading and she aspired to write Irish History, Eileen made a very successful career as a Registered Nurse at St. Clare’s in Dover. She was a compassionate, kind, and giving person and will always be remembered for the love and care that she provided to others all throughout her life.

She leaves only fond memories to her beloved husband of 28 years, Louis P. Vitolo; her children, Philip Oxenstein, Elliott Oxenstein and Leah Minassian; her grandchildren, Olivia, Elena, Isaac, and Sarah; and her two sisters, Maureen Schmidt and Roberta Smith.

Public Visitation will be held on Monday, January 22nd from 2 – 6 pm with Funeral Service beginning at 5:45 pm at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ 07834.
