Obituary of Lillian Eckert

Lillian Eckert passed away peacefully on December 20, 2017.  She shared 83 years of love and friendship with all who knew her.  A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at 10:30 am at the Norman Dean Home For Services, 16 Righter Ave., Denville.  Visiting hours will be held on Friday, December 22^nd from 2-5 pm. 

Lillian was born in Passaic to the late Charles and Gertrude Griffith.  After her schooling she worked in  the insurance business for many years.  In 1969 she met Robert Eckert.  Shortly after, the couple  married and settled in Saddle Brook.  Lillian was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling and music.  She and Bob often took in symphonies and shows.  She always took pride in her home and kept a beautiful one.  She truly enjoyed life.  In the past 14 years her and husband have resided at Fox Hills where they stayed active and formed many new friendships.  During this week of Christmas, we will remember her as a bright light in all of our lives.

Predeceased by her siblings; she leaves beautiful memories to her husband Robert of 47 years; her loyal canine Jake; and many more dear friends and family.
