Martha Korsun passed away at home surrounded by her family on December 9 at the age of 95.  She leaves a legacy of much love, devotion and laughter to her loved ones.

 

Martha was born in Olyphant, Pennsylvania to Nicholas Tysoski and Anastasia (Pawlak).  She lived in Hillside, NJ then retired in Toms River and eventually settled in Denville, New Jersey.  She completed High School and worked her way up to become an Inspector for G.E.  She was a hard worker and she loved to read and was always up on the current affairs in the world.  Martha had much faith and was a devoted Catholic.  She enjoyed meeting new people and being social.  Her family will greatly miss the food that she would cook and her clever sense of humor.  Above all, Martha was a family woman; she was a loving wife, mother and daughter always putting her family first. 

 

She was predeceased by her beloved husband Nicholas Korsun; brother Michael Tysoski who passed in the Battle of the Bulge and granddaughter Holly Martha Lind.  She leaves happy memories to her caring daughters Lorraine Kensicki (Ronald) and Karen McTamney (Bernard); loving grandchildren Ronald Kensicki Jr. (Christine), Katherine Moran (Ryan), Jennifer Flynn (Leo) and Michael McTamney (Kristin); adoring great-grandchildren Jason, Samuel, Avery, Jude, Nicolas, Maura, Kylie and Conor; sister Stephanie Rij (Milton); niece and nephew Michael Rij (Joanne) their daughter Jessica and Karen Rij.

 

Relatives and friends may visit on Wednesday, December 13 from 6-8 pm at the Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Ave., Denville.  There will be an Ukranian Prayer Service at 7 pm.  A Mass of Christian burial will be on Thursday, December 14 at 11 am at Resurrection Parish, 651 Millbrook Ave., Randolph and interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, 1137 N. Broad St., Hillside.  In her memory donations are being given to the Arthritis Foundation by way of www.inmemoryof-memorial.org.
