Obituary of James Andrew Mele
Faith has been broken, tears must be cried
Let's do some living after we die..
James Andrew Mele passed away suddenly at home on Wednesday, November 15, 2017. He shared 50 years of love and laughter with his family. Memorial Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 19th from 2-4 pm at the Norman Dean Home For Services, 16 Righter Ave. Denville. A prayer service will begin at 4pm. During this season of Thanksgiving and in the spirit of Jim’s delicious meals, donations in his memory may be made to the good work of the Bethlehem Church Food Pantry by way of www.inmemoryof-memorial.org. Please share your memories on his memorial page. Jimmy’s family will cherish them forever.
Born in Morristown to Michael and Peggy Mele, Jimmy was the fourth of seven children. After graduating from Morristown High, he began a long career as a plumber. Jimmy was a jokster and had the biggest heart! He was a huge football fan and never missed a JETS game. He was an excellent cook and enjoyed making delicious meals for everyone. Above anything in this world, Jimmy loved to spend time with his daughters. The sun rose and set on the girls and Jim bragged often of their accomplishmnets to anyone who would listen! Recently, he relocated to Columbia, NJ where he started a new chapter. Jimmy lived life to the fullest and his laughter and joy will be missed.
Predeceased by his parents Michael and Margaret “Peggy” (Ranft); he is survived by his daughters Miranda and Jenna; former wife Ann Marie Mele; brothers Michael (Renee), David (Vicky), Daniel (Karen), and Anthony (Lori); his sisters Kathryn Rasmussen ( Greg) and Marjorie Kimmick (Kevin); and many more dear relatives and friends.
