Obituary of John Glendon Ackerman

John Glendon Ackerman died at home in Denville on September 12, 2017 at the age of 59.
John was born in Morristown to his parents William and Georgiana Barker Ackerman.
John lived in Indian Lake, Denville for all of his life and that is where he fell in love and married Suanne, the girl next door. John loved hunting, fishing, bird watching and admiring the wildlife and sounds of nature. When he wanted to get away, he went to his beloved cabin in Dushore, Pennsylvania. Above all, John cherished his family and friends. He had a quiet strength and steady presence that will never be forgotten.
He was predeceased by his parents William and Georgiana Ackerman and brother Robert.
He leaves behind his wife Suanne Benowitz Ackerman, sister Sherri (Robert) Byrnes and many loving cousins and lifelong friends.
Visitation will take place at the Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Ave., on Friday, September 15 from 3-7 pm. Funeral services will begin at 9:30am on Saturday, September 16th followed by a 10:30 am burial at Denville Cemetery, Savage Rd. Donations in his memory may be made to St. Hubert's Animal Welfare Center Madison by way of www.inmemoryof-memorial.org.
