Obituary of Jeanne F. Moskal
Jeanne Frances Moskal (nee Kassai), passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2017. She shared 73 years of love and kindness with all who knew her. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, September 14th at 10 am at St. Cecilia’s Church, 90 Church St. Rockaway. Burial to follow at St. Cecilia’s Cemetery. Friends and relatives may visit on Wednesday September 13th from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the Norman Dean Home For Services, 16 Righter Ave. Denville. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to the good work of the Americn Lung Association by way of www.inmemoryof-memorial.org
Jeanne was born in Passaic to the late Andrew and Stella and was the youngest of three girls. She attended East Rutherford High School and was the Captain of the Majorettes. After her schooling, she started her family and spent the next few years raising her son and daughter.
She worked for Siemens for almost 36 years where she formed many wonderful and lasting friendships. When she wasn’t at work, Jeanne enjoyed Bingo, traveling to Atlantic City and making her yearly pilgrammage to Las Vegas. These trips with her sister grew in enjoyment each year. She was a slots gal and loved to play. When at home, Jeanne baked and cooked often. She was an exceptional baker and is known near and far for her famous apple turnovers. She tended to her vast garden as well. She was always growing something and was happy to share her produce with friends and neighbors. Although we are sad she is gone, we take comfort in knowing we were blessed to have such a caring and kind woman in our lives and that she is reunited with her daughter Andrea whome she loved and missed dearly.
Predeceased by her daughter Andrea Moskal (1995), she leaves beautiful memories to her son son Stephen Moskal; her sisters Edna Malinski and Arlene Wask; her nieces and nephews and great nieces and many dear friends and coworkers.
