I am so sorry to hear of Bob's passing. My partner, Pat, passed July 21, 2015 and it's coming up on 2 years this week. He too had lung cancer that metastasized.
Bob and I worked together in financial services (Wall street) and met up again at another firm years later. There, we helped create a greater operations infrastructure. He was very knowledgeable with a quick wit that served him well. He spoke lovingly of his wife, Anita, and family, sharing some escapades from time to time.
I was glad to facilitate Bob's connection to the VA with the help of a veteran friend. Bob always appreciated this assistance and often asked about Ed anytime we communicated. Sadly, he too passed away.
Maybe there's a special place in heaven - a 'veteran's hangout' - where they're all sharing stories and laughing... not in any pain... and cancer free.
Rest in peace, Bob. We will remember you.
With fond memories,
Marleen

Having worked on Wall Street for over 20 years I've met a lot people, but I have to say Bob was one of the nicest, caring individuals. He was my supervisor a Nomura Securities and at the time my wife was very sick and I needed to leave early on numerous occasions, he always understood. Bob was a good man and will be missed. God Bless him and his family.

In my life you were an amazing Uncle and Friend. You had the kindest and most generous heart. I will miss your wonderful sense of humor and words of wisdom. Though my heart breaks with your passing I pray you are with the loved ones you were missing. I hope your weary body finally finds comfort and you are no longer in pain or suffering. To Anita I'm sorry you lost the love of your life and best friend. I hope he's watching over you and all of us. I hope in time you find comfort that he's in no more pain. To my cousin Andy, Derek, Jared. Im deeply sorry for the loss you are enduring. I know he loved you all as you did him. I hope time can heal your loss and memories of the goid times shine through to give you all comfort.
