Obituary of Marilyn A. Kelly

Marilyn A. Kelly passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2017.  She shared 66 years of love and selflessness with all who knew her.  As per her wishes, arrangements were private.  A Celebration of her life will be planned later.  Please share your memories with her family here.  They will cherish them forever.

 Born on July 15th, 1950 to the late George and Ida McCrae, Marilyn was one of 5 children.  After graduating Morristown High School, she married her High School Sweetheart Doug Kelly Sr. and started a family.  They settled in Morris Plains, a family community where they made a lifetime of happy memories. Marilyn worked along with her partner and ex-husband Doug Kelly Sr., and Children, and the employees that became family in the Family Business known as Owl Contracting and later owned and operated W. Kelly Equipment for many years, retiring in 2012.  She was a wonderful Mother to Stacy Kelly and Doug and Danielle Capone Kelly..  She was an adored Grandma to Ashley Lynn, Jalen William, Alyson Marie and Athena Marie and most recently the over the moon Great Grandma to a Sky Celeste.  She will be missed her by cousins Marilyn had many nieces and nephews that adored her and will miss her immensely.  She was selfless like no other and always put the needs of her family and friends before her own.   She bragged of her grandkids often and always, praising them and relishing in their accomplishments.  Although she has gone to soon, we take comfort in knowing she has loved us and shown us the meaning of family and faith. 

Predeceased by her parents George and Ida and her In-Laws Bill and Gloria Kelly ; she leaves happy memories to her children Stacy Kelly and Douglas Kelly; her siblings George McCrae and wife Nancy McCrae, Patti Gray and husband Glenn Gray, Rosemary Crawford and husband Tom Crawford, Don McCrae and wife Doreen McCrae, in laws Bill Kelly (deceased) and his wife Kathy Kelly and J. Ronald Kelly and wife Barbara Kelly and Karen Kelly Shearer and Husband Bob Shearer.
