My parents, George & Ruth Malanga were very good friends with Kal and Lonia. Lonia always enjoyed my father's piano playing and all four of them had many good times together at the LHYC and the Ridge. I believe one of her favorite songs was, "These are the Best of Times". Sometimes she would tell my father that he hit a wrong note and of course a rather lively conversation would take place. Then she would sing and dance as my father played. She visited the LHYC on a few occasions over the past year or two and I was always glad to see her and enjoy some time with her. She was a class act in every way. Lonia had a great life and is someone who certainly has a legacy that reaches out in many directions. Jill and I want to extend our heartfelt condolences to her family.
