Obituary of Raymond Alfred Gronemann

Raymond A. "Wah" Gronemann passed away peacefully at his home in Denville, NJ, surrounded by his loving family on March 17, 2017, at the age of 83.
Born in Morristown, he had lived in Denville, NJ his entire life.
Raymond Served aboard the destroyer Ammen in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He received his Bachelors degree from William Patterson University and was a Denville Police officer for 25 years before retiring in 1984; he then worked for the Lee Company until 2010, when he retired at the age of 77.
He was a member of the Denville American Legion Post #390, the Denville V.F.W. Post #2519, The Tin Can Sailors, the Boy Scouts Troop #17, and he was an honorary member of the Denville Fire Department and also retained his Brick Layers Union card for his entire life.
Raymond was predeceased by his first wife Patricia (Flanigan) in 1964.
He is survived by his beloved wife Lynda (Homer) Gronemann of Denville, and loving children Raymond Gronemann of Denville, Warner Gronemann of Kenvil, Patricia Gronemann of Johnstown, PA, Joseph Gronemann of Denville, Kathy & Rich Boyle of Denville and Lynnette Gronemann also of Denville, NJ. Hus grandchildren Amber Savory, Alan Savory, Nicole Mercuro, Kenneth Raymond Gronemann, Richard Boyle, Casey Boyle, Christopher Boyle and Elizabeth Boyle, as well as his great grandchildren Nevaeh Price, Joseph Ragno and Abigail Grace Ragno and his brother Warner & Nancy Gronemann of Long Valley, NJ and many nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews also survive him.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday March 22, 2017, at 10AM at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave Denville, NJ 07834, followed by interment services at Denville Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9PM.
Donations in his memory can be made to the Denville American Legion Post #390, the Denville V.F.W. Post #2519, or the Denville Fire Department by way of www.inmemoryof-memorial.org.
