Predeceased by her husband James (1995) and her sisters Lorna (1922), Laura (2007), Margaret (2010) and Audrey (1984); she is survived by her children Kenneth (and Letitia) of Roseland, Patricia Warren (and Thomas) of Rockaway and Anne Schwartz (and Robert) of Brick. She was the proud Grandmother of twelve and Great Grandmother of eleven.
Born and raised in New York City Muriel lived in Suffern, NY, Succasunna, NJ, Tuckerton, NJ and Denver, CO before moving to Mount Arlington, NJ six years ago.
She and Jim were married in 1948 and they settled down in Roxbury Township to raise their children. She enjoyed volunteering in the local elementary school which transitioned to her being hired as the first Talking Typewriter Technician - aiding children with speech problems. When the kids were older Muriel learned to drive, and started working in the insurance field until she retired.
She was a member of Celebration Community Church in Denver, CO, the First Presbyterian Church in Tuckerton and the First Presbyterian Church of Succasunna.
Muriel enjoyed helping others, reading, playing mahjong and canasta, but most of all she loved being with her family.
