Born in Corpus Christi, TX to the late Roman and Concepcion Rivas; Josephine was one of seven children. In 1953 she settled in Whippany NJ where she raised her family. She had a successful 40 year career at Bell Labs/Alcatel Lucent, retiring in 1997. She moved to Lake Hiawatha over 35 years ago and was a longtime parishioner of St. Peter’s Church in Parsippany. She enjoyed traveling with friends and trips home to spend time with her large family in San Antonio. She loved celebrations and the holidays. Above all; she loved her family. Her children and grandchildren were the center of her universe. Josephine was kind and thoughtful; she enjoyed conversation, good company and reading, the NY Yankees, and she always had a positive outlook on life.
Predeceased by her sister Mary Lou and her brother Lupe; she leaves wonderful memories to her loving children Vernon Loeliger and Jo Ellen Main (Doug) ; adored grandsons Andrew and Michael Main; dear sister Connie Romanowsky; brothers Roman, Carmelo, and Joseph; and many nieces, nephews, dear friends and caretakers.
